The iPhone has a marvelous display with trim profile and no external antenna. It measures 115mm long x 61mm wide x 12mm deep. To compare, it is wide and tall like Palm Treo 750, but much thinner than the popular Motorola RAZR. Its display is of glass instead of plastic, very handy to fit our hand.

The iPhone is gaining popularity for its multi-touch technology, this allows finger to manipulate the screen in variety of ways. If looking at a message, you can easily amplify the text by pushing and holding over a particular area. Just move the text without lifting the finger and whole text will appear in a magnified way. In the same way, zoom in and zoom out can be performed by just putting and lifting of the finger.

Likewise, in the Web browser, one can scroll the Web page by just slipping the finger, or double tap for zoom. When viewing your message list and want to delete some items, just swipe the finger from left to right throughout the message. A ‘delete’ button will come out – press it. Thanks to the iPhone’s motion sensor, it automatically adjusts the handset’s display orientation when one flips it on its side while exploiting its Internet browser and video or music players. The moment one lifts the iPhone to the ear, its proximity sensor automatically switch off the display.

One of the best exterior features of iPhone is its ‘hardware menu button’. The moment you push it, it takes you back to the home screen, regardless of any applications. This single button saves you from multiple menu taps, if you are sank in secondary menu. On the top of the handset is the call controlling button, just one tap will mute the ringer, or double tap to send the call to the voicemail. This top button can also be used to put your phone asleep. So, if you are looking for an expensive latest gadget, it is nice to have iPhone.
