I hate to remind you of how bad our current economy is right now. But, I can tell you that now is the best time for you to take a good hard look at trying to successfully start earning yourself some passive income. For anyone who doesn't understand the true meaning of residual passive income, here it is. Passive income means you are making a certain amount of money or income for a certain length of time, over and over, without having to actually, physically do the work.

Let me give you an example. Say you work a 40 hour work week or 8 hours a day to make $500, you did NOT earn passive income. Basically, if you had not worked that certain amount of time, you would not have made the $500. Now, passive income, on the other hand means you could make $500 in that same week whether you're sleeping, playing, watching tv, running personal errands, etc. That's why passive income is so appealing to everybody. The definition of traditional passive income is "Income generated with minimal work from your investments such as interest, dividends, or real estate rentals." However in this article I'm talking about creating a passive income online. You need to understand that investment of your time and money is initially going to be required to build a passive income online, then possibly minimal work thereafter. Passive online income is, believe it or not, the easiest income to generate...if you know what you're doing!

When you start earning passive income, you have instantly given yourself two very important options. The first is, since passive income requires little to no long term work, you can still keep whatever current job you have and any of your new passive income becomes a nice, little supplemental income to what you currently make. This gives you that neat little bit of breathing room in your current financial situation. Or, the second option is that you grow your passive income to a amount where you can either cut back on the time you would normally need to spend at your job...or maybe even say goodbye to your old job all together. Now that's what I call truly livin the dream!

With the economy's current financial situation, you obviously see what a huge help it would be if you could learn how to start generating your own little passive income "golden parachute" if you will. To earn online passive income, you really only need to learn a few fundamentals.

Passive income actually is not something that was invented with the birth of the internet. But, what the creation of the internet has done is to increase the opportunity to make passive income. Each day more and more people are starting to make passive income online. These people are not just idle homemakers lookingtrying to make a few bucks in their free time, but, are dedicated professionals, even doctors and lawyers who are looking for extra ways to supplement their income. I can tell you that most of the online 'gurus' and big time internet marketers, all have their own little passive income empires that generate them some very tidy, hands-off income.

These are some benefits to earning passive online income:

--Make a strong initial effort to get your income started, then do minimal work (or virtually none) thereafter, resulting in earning more and doing less.

Create residual income for your future retirement.
