I am a highly skilled, UK based journalist with a love of web technology. I graduated from Aberystwyth University in 1992 with a good degree in journalism. my first real job was in the news department of a North Wales regional newspaper. After two years of local news I went Back to my home town, Birmingham in the West Midlands. Back at home I worked on a mix of news and entertainment reports for a smaller local newspaper, before moving to become current affairs reporter for a larger regional paper. My interest in technology continued to grow over this period and I decided to study a part time Higher National in computer science. After my course was finished I was totally obsessed by technology and the emerging web. My next move was to London to work on computer related magazines mainly in the computer games sector. This proved to be a very good move with a great amount of opportunities to move into different up and coming technology areas. I quickly moved completely from the PC game sector to web creation and web marketing. Internet marketing, PPC and social media emerged as my major interests, and still remain so. Making my mind up to go freelance was one of the most difficult, but ultimately best ideas of my life. I have now returned to Birmingham where I live with my wife and two lovely children.
